Earth Day Celebration and Festival of Trail Running

Saturday April 23 8am to 5pm

Celebrate Mother Earth at this “fun for all” Earth Day event. Starting and finishing at the Nature Center is a day long trail running festival. Pick your route and distance for a short run or more. Race distances: 3.7 mi, 7.5 mi, 14.9 mi, 26.1 mi and 8hr.  If you’re not running, come cheer on those who are, or get involved in our games, activities, and crafts. It's Mother Earth's party!

The New Ruffner Mountain Nature Center is Open!

The new Tree Top Visitor Center is open to the public Tuesdays - Sundays.   Come inside!       Our staff can help you plan your visit at our information desk or stop by The Nature of the City Gift Shoppe. Visit our turtles and other animals in the Woodlands Animal Exhibit Hall.
