Fall Equinox Fire Ceremony

Fall Equinox Fire Ceremony

Help raise the vibration of love and light on the planet with this spiritual Equinox Fire Ceremony where we will come together and participate in a powerful healing and earth blessing.

Join together to celebrate the earth’s cycles as an observance and honoring of the changes within ourselves. The fall equinox is a time of equal day and equal night, acknowledging the balance in all life, the darkness and the light. It is a time to look at the balance of our relationship with Mother Earth.

Fire allows for rapid transformation. It provides the avenue to let go of the old and transform the energy for the highest good. The Equinox is more than just a transition point between the seasons. In many of the world’s elder traditions, it is a sacred day. These “birth days” of the seasons belong to all traditions. They are a perfect occasion to realign our relationship with the Universe, our community, and our selves.

Ceremony to be led by Terri Ann Heiman of Natural Forces Studio and the staff at Ruffner Mountain Nature Preserve.

Join us on Monday, September 22nd from 5:30-6:30 for yoga with Elizabeth Brooke of ESB Yoga. For more information, check out our Facebook event.

Meet Our Newest Animal Acquisition (And Get a Chance to Name Him Too!)

New animal acquisitions don’t happen every day at Ruffner Mountain. Every acquisition is carefully thought out and planned by our Wildlife Curator, and each one is a cause for celebration. However, rarely are acquisitions as special as our newest one:

Ruffner Mountain Nature Preserve is proud to announce the newest addition to our educational program animals: a speckled kingsnake.
